Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with AZ or compact license for a night shift assignment requiring at least 5 years of recent L&D experience.

Details

  • Work in the Obstetrics Unit covering Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn rooms with Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) rooming-in practices
  • Unit averages 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month
  • 12-hour night shift schedule with flexibility to work day shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • May occasionally serve as charge nurse after completing charge nurse training
  • Float to other departments as needed, which may include taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones

Requirements

  • Active AZ or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting
  • Current BLS and ACLS or ALSO certification required
  • NRP certification required
  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required, or RNC-EFM may be substituted

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings
  • Support BFHI practices including rooming-in with mothers
  • Housing availability is limited near the facility
