Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Morristown, NJ, requiring an active NJ RN license and ACLS certification for night shift work on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Work is performed in the Labor & Delivery unit of an acute care hospital setting
• PM/night shift: 7p–7a
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Epic EMR is used for charting
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (or compact license with NJ privileges) required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver individualized nursing care throughout the Labor & Delivery continuum
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation in accordance with nursing process guidelines using Epic
• Uphold patient safety standards including National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol
• Provide patient and family education, actively involving them in the care process
• Travelers who have reached one calendar year of continuous assignment must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment at this facility
