Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor and childbirth processes for high-risk deliveries, ensuring standards of care are maintained.
• Provide comprehensive care to postpartum patients in a 1 to 4 ratio, adjusting to 1 to 1 as per California ratios.
• Collaborate with obstetric team to manage laborist-driven deliveries and provide immediate care to neonates.
• Perform fetal monitoring using Cerner and Fetal Link systems, ensuring accuracy and timely data entry.
• Follow strict weekend and holiday scheduling requirements to integrate with permanent staff rotations.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and continuous monitoring, providing updates to the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with eligibility for submission in the state of California.
• Advanced certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
• Experience in a Level III NICU setting preferred for handling high-risk deliveries.
• Understanding of Cerner EMR and ability to transition to a new system environment efficiently.
• Previous exposure to floating between Pediatrics and NICU for specialized patient care.
• Completion of COVID-19 vaccination as part of required healthcare credentials.
