Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring MA RN licensure and NRP certification in a high-volume teaching hospital setting.

Details

  • Work in the LDRP unit of a teaching hospital with approximately 4,300 deliveries per year
  • Unit includes Pod C (labor)-16 beds, Pod B (high risk)-11 beds, and Pod A (post-partum)-11 beds
  • Care for laboring and high-risk patients, with access to a 3-room OR for cesarean sections
  • Night shift schedule of 1900-0730, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
  • Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday nights on NOC shift)
  • One on-call shift required every 6 weeks in addition to regular schedule

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and CPR certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience preferred
  • High-risk obstetric experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care to laboring, high-risk, and post-partum patients
  • Work alongside residents and attending physicians in an academic teaching hospital environment
