Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Wisconsin
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Ability to work the full 12-hour night schedule, including Friday through Sunday
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to safe maternal-newborn care

Labor & Delivery Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns.
• Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries while collaborating with providers and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Administer medications and treatments, perform nursing assessments, and document care accurately in Epic.
• Provide immediate newborn care and assist with neonatal stabilization as needed.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience.
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care environment.
