Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D and high-risk experience in a Level II trauma center with a Level III NICU.

Details

  • Work in a 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
  • Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
  • Uses Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
  • Charts in Cerner and Fetal ink EMR systems
  • Shift runs 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
  • Weekends and on-call not required but available upon approval
  • Floating required to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU
  • Unit performs vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst procedures

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
  • High-risk L&D experience required
  • Immediate newborn care experience required
  • Circulating experience preferred
  • Required certifications: NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), BLS, ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM)
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care across the full scope of Labor & Delivery services
  • Team includes charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs on both day and night shifts
  • Best suited for outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personalities
  • Scrubs provided according to unit dress code
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the role
  • No local candidates will be considered
