Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active IL RN license and NRP certification.

Details

Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital
Provides care to inpatient obstetric patients including intrapartum care for labor, delivery, and surgical delivery
Monitors fetal well-being and administers medications specific to obstetric patients
Night shift schedule from 7:00p to 7:30a, 3 shifts per week
Every other weekend required
Holiday coverage required
Floating required
Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

Active IL RN license in good standing
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (American Heart Association)
PALS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
ASN required, BSN preferred
Epic charting experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

Responsible for completing initial patient assessments and developing individualized plans of care
Implements nursing interventions and modifies care plans based on ongoing evaluation
Maintains accurate nursing documentation for continuity of care
Provides patient and family education specific to the obstetric population
Reports and corrects safety hazards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
Prior Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning
