Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring specialty fetal monitoring certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit caring for deliveries, circulating C-sections, antepartum patients, and newborn initial assessments
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN standards: 1:1 Pitocin induction/augmentation, 1:2 cervical ripening, 1:2-3 antepartum, 1:2-3 triage, and 1:1 immediate postpartum care

Requirements

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certification required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across the full scope of labor, delivery, and postpartum services
• Dress code requires navy blue or pink scrubs
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local consideration
• Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
