Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a 15-week contract. The ideal candidate will have strong Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience and be comfortable working in a high-paced environment, focusing on both maternal and newborn care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cervical exams, manage antepartum and labor patients, and administer amnio infusions and epidurals.
• Conduct fetal monitoring and IV initiation, including administration of Pitocin as necessary.
• Circulate during C-sections and assist with baby catching/receiving at delivery.
• Perform APGAR assessments and provide breastfeeding education and support.
• Ensure comprehensive postpartum care for moms and newborns, from transition through discharge.

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably Epic.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in postpartum care.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and fetal monitoring is required.
• Scrub experience is a plus, though a Scrub Tech will always be on site.
• Multilingual skills in Russian and/or Spanish are preferred.

Work Environment

• Total of 20 beds: 12 in Labor & Delivery, 8 in Postpartum/Antepartum (including 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 operating rooms).
• 6-bed Level II NICU available for newborn care.
• No on-call requirement.
• Teal scrubs will be provided.
