Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring TX or compact RN license and fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Perinatal/Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Full time day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact)
• Current certification in NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate FHM
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (AHA only)
• 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
• BSN preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal setting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Provide patient and family education and identify learning needs and resources
• Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
• New hires are precepted and must complete organizational and Perinatal Department-specific competency validation
• Completion of annual competency verification requirements
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
• Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a travel assignment
