Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
This is a travel position for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) available for a 13-week assignment working night shifts.
Unit Information
- Unit Type: LDRP
- Number of Beds: 7
- Staffing: Minimum of 3 staff members per shift
- Day Shift: 2 RNs and 1 OB Surgical Tech
- Night Shift: 2 RNs and 1 OB Surgical Tech
- Patient Ratios: AWHONN acuity staffing ratios are followed
- Type of Equipment: GE, Centricity Perinatal
- Electronic Medical Records: EPIC
Qualifications
Required Skills
- 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Labor triage experience
- OR circulator experience (C-sections, tubal ligations, D&C, vaginal repairs, etc.)
- Newborn resuscitation experience, specifically attending deliveries for low-risk newborns

- IUPC/FSE placement
- Assistance with JADA/COOKS/BAKRI placement

Additional Information
- Floating Area(s): May float as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) as needed during low census.
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs (provided).
- Weekend Scheduling: Required as needed to meet unit needs; call is not required but available.
- NICU: Level 2 NICU for infants over 32 weeks gestation and over 1500g.
