Job Description:

Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit responsible for providing comprehensive care to obstetric, post-partum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN patients and those with pregnancy complications such as hypertension or diabetes. The RN will adhere to AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios and manage titratable drips as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to laboring patients with a 1:1 ratio according to unit guidelines.
• Manage titratable and set rate drips including Pitocin, Mag, and Procardia.
• Participate in a 1-week classroom orientation followed by 2-3 shifts of floor orientation.
• Ensure compliance with unit policies including fingernail policy and open book competency exam during orientation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Driver's license required for submission to confirm distance compliance with the 50-mile radius rule.
• Successful completion of an open book exam with a passing score of 90% during orientation.
