Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP night shift position requiring L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby experience.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit providing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal obstetrical care
- Night shift schedule (7p-7a)
- 13-week assignment
- Flexible floating to other units as facility needs require
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- PALS required, may be obtained within 30 days of start
- AWHONN certification preferred, can be completed onsite
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby experience
- AHCA certification required for FL placement
- No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
- No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide shift accountability for safe delivery of obstetrical patient care using the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering care
- Delegate and supervise care provided by assigned personnel based on staff education and experience
- Must secure housing within 50 miles of the facility prior to acceptance and provide the address
- Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
- Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
- RTO requests must be less than one week
