Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP position requiring both L&D and Mother Baby experience with float responsibilities across both units.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery (LDRP) unit of a hospital environment
• Position requires floating between L&D and Mother Baby units
• Patient population includes obstetrical patients, with comfort working with the prison population required
• Performs antepartum care and procedures, obstetrical patient triage, and circulates for C-sections
• Uses External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) equipment
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• No on-call requirements due to facility's strict no-call policy
• Orientation includes two 8-hour shifts followed by two 12-hour shifts with the department

Requirements

• Active TN state RN license or compact multi-state license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and AWHONN Intermediate
• CPI certification required (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 1 year of L&D and Mother Baby experience required
• First-time travelers must have 2 years of experience
• Labor and Delivery Management skills required
• Experience circulating for C-sections required
