Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending February 15, 2027
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 3–4:1 for postpartum couplets and 1–2:1 for labor patients
• Clinical Environment: Team-based birth care unit with experienced nursing, charge, clerical, and scrub support
• Technology: Meditech/CPN electronic medical record, fetal monitoring, point-of-care glucose testing, and Monica Novii telemetry

Labor and Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Kansas
• At least 1 year of current Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Experience caring for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN certification or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) certification
• Strong maternal-child nursing and patient-care skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to remain effective in a busy environment

Labor and Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and promptly communicate clinical changes
• Support vaginal deliveries, inductions, and high-risk labor management
• Assist with and circulate cesarean sections
• Perform or assist with AROM, IUPC placement and monitoring, fetal monitoring, and Doppler assessments as appropriate
• Provide care for postpartum couplets and support patient and family education
• Collaborate with providers and the multidisciplinary care team to promote positive birth outcomes
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
