Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Level 3 OB unit requiring fetal monitoring certification and nursery/post-partum float capability.

Details

• Work in the Ob Gyn Combined unit on the 3rd floor OB department of an acute care hospital
• Level 3 OB unit with 3 L&D beds, 9 OB beds, 14 nursery beds, and 3 intermediate nursery beds
• Low volume unit with less than 15 deliveries per month
• Required to float to Nursery and Post-Partum units, including when units are closed due to low census
• Uses general OB unit equipment
• Meditech EHR used
• Evening shift (7p) with weekend hours 7p-7a
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratios per A1 guidelines

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or above, and STABLE for Nursery
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience required
• General OB Labor & Delivery and Nursery care experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across Labor & Delivery and Nursery settings including OB delivery and newborn care
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
