Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring labor management and cesarean section circulating experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit with 18 beds and approximately 54 staff members
• Day shift staffed with 1 charge/CNC, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB techs, and 1 HUC
• Night shift staffed with 1 charge/CNC, 8-10 RNs, and 1-2 OB techs
• Patient ratios of 1:1 for Pitocin, C-section delivery, and recovery patients
• 2-3 antepartum patients per ratio, following AWHONN guidelines
• Uses GE fetal monitoring equipment
• Utilizes CPN Meditech EMR
• On-call requirement of 1-2 shifts per schedule
• May float to Mother Baby unit as a resource when needed
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required skills in labor management and circulating cesarean sections
• Intermediate or advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification required
• Current NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• One professional reference required
