Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (RN)
Position Overview
Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in a dynamic Labor & Delivery unit. This position is focused on providing exceptional patient care and ensures a supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Unit Information
This Labor & Delivery unit features:
- Number of Beds: 18
- Number of Staff: 54
- Staff Structure:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB Technicians, 1 Health Unit Coordinator
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB Technicians
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 for Pitocin, C-section delivery, Recovery; 2-3 for Antepartum patients, following AWHONN guidelines
- Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitoring
- EMR: CPN Meditech
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Labor management
- Circulating cesarean sections
- Performing vaginal deliveries, triage, and iron infusions
Qualifications
Mandatory qualifications include:
- Proven experience in labor management
- Experience in circulating cesarean sections
Preferred qualifications include:
- Additional experience in various labor and delivery procedures
