Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Current BLS certification
• NRP certification required
• Fetal monitoring training required
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Experience laboring and recovering mothers, along with receiving and transitioning newborns
• Experience with inductions and fetal monitoring preferred
• Comfort supporting OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage preferred
• Willingness to float within the facility and between LDRP and NICU as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Monitor fetal status and support safe labor progression
• Assist with deliveries, C-sections, circumcisions, and intra-uterine monitoring
• Support newborn transition and complete thorough assessments until stable
• Respond confidently to changing patient needs and potential OB emergencies
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit policies and procedures
• Promote patient safety and a positive patient experience through rounding and attentive care
