Job Summary:
The Post Partum Floor (PP) registered nurse position is located in an acute care healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to postpartum patients, including maternal and newborn teaching, medication administration, and clinical monitoring, ensuring patient safety and compliance with hospital standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 3 years of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience; graduate of an accredited nursing program; licensed as a registered nurse (in the state where care is provided); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring; IV skills and ability to perform lab draws; knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin); proficiency in urine Point of Care testing, capillary blood glucose testing, and IStat; ability to perform adult cardiac monitoring; knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring; competency in heel sticks and venipuncture on newborns; knowledge of newborn medication administration and maintenance, including Bili-blankets/lights and radiant warmers; clinical support for gynecological teaching and post-operative bladder training; maternal-newborn teaching support.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing or a related field; minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience; minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience; minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience.
- Additional Information: This position is scheduled to start on 10/06/2026 and is expected to end on 01/02/2027.
