Job Summary:
Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Postpartum (PP) care is needed on the postpartum floor at a healthcare facility in Arlington, Texas. This role involves providing quality postpartum nursing care with exposure to neonatal and mother-baby units. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, and lactation consultants in a supportive environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and experience with postpartum care and couplet care competencies
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with mother-baby charge responsibilities, late-preterm or transitional newborn experience, breastfeeding support skills
  • Additional Information: The unit is a mother/baby postpartum unit with 32 operational beds, staffed with a team of 59 professionals including charge RNs, PCTs, and HUCs. Typical procedures performed include newborn screenings, blood glucose monitoring, jaundice monitoring, perineal and incision care, and feeding support. Candidates should demonstrate compassion, team orientation, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure. The unit emphasizes hourly safety rounds, bedside shift reports, collaboration, and maintaining a positive work environment.
