Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NRP and STABLE certification along with a compact or WV RN license.

Details

  • Level 1 L&D/Mother Baby unit caring for women and infants until stable, with transfer to higher level of care when needed
  • Averages 20 deliveries per month
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • 12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Compact or West Virginia) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, and STABLE
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • BSN not required
  • Unexpired driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide labor, delivery, and mother-baby nursing care in an acute care setting
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to be eligible for travel assignment
  • No local candidates accepted
  • Former perm staff of this facility are not eligible to return as travelers
  • Returning travelers must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying to any WVU Medicine location
  • Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than a year without taking a 2-year break, with cumulative experience applied
  • Candidates interview directly with the unit manager
  • Extension requests cannot be made until 45 days from the current end date
