Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Level 1 unit requiring NRP and STABLE certifications with night shift availability.

Details

  • Work in a Labor & Delivery/Mother Baby unit within an acute care hospital
  • Level 1 unit caring for women and infants until stable for discharge or transfer
  • Average of 20 deliveries per month
  • Uses EPIC EMR system
  • Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and STABLE Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • BSN not required
  • Copy of unexpired driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide labor and delivery and postpartum mother-baby nursing care
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel positions
  • Interview directly with the unit manager as part of the hiring process
  • Travelers who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
  • Former permanent staff at this facility are not eligible to return as travelers
  • Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one year cumulatively before requiring a 2-year break
