The organization is seeking an experienced Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in IV Vascular Access for a short-term assignment in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing advanced vascular access procedures and patient care on night shifts with a focus on maintaining high standards of aseptic technique and patient safety. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment and adherence to facility protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission), at least 2 years of experience in IV Vascular Access, proficiency with Epic charting system, and minimum of 1 year of experience in adult inpatient care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings, travel experience, and familiarity with high acuity patient care.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to nearby facilities, but this is not specified for this assignment.
- Additional Information: The candidate will work within a team of clinicians, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 for days and nights. Procedures include ultrasound-guided PIVs, PICC placements, and vascular access management, excluding PICC placements during night shift. Candidates must be willing to work at least 3 of the 5 designated holidays and adhere to scheduling requests during submittal.
