Opportunity:

Radiologic Technologist - Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

• Work in a Cath Lab environment with 2 Cath Labs, 1 EP Room, and 1 Hybrid Room
• Daily average case load of 10-12 patients
• Treat adult patients only, both inpatient and outpatient
• Intra-procedural work only; no pre/post experience needed or performed by staff
• Cath Lab procedures include diagnostic and interventional heart caths, right heart cath, Impella, balloon pump, thrombectomies, high risk procedures, STEMI/MI, some CTOs, and PFO closure
• EP procedures include pacemakers (temp and permanent), tilt table tests, ablations, and MitraClip
• Hybrid procedures include AAA repair, Watchman, TAVR, and carotids
• Required certifications: IEMA (IL license), ARRT, BLS, and ACLS
• Required skills include ability to scrub and pan simultaneously, Impella, balloon pump, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Hybrid and EP experience not required but preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• First-time travelers will not be accepted
• Charting systems include EPIC (EMR), Alaris (IV Pumps), Pyxis (Med Dispensing), Merge (Hemodynamics), GE (PACS), GE Cardio (EP), Siemens and Philips rooms, Inari, and Penumbra
• Weekend rotation is on-call only with 10-11 call shifts per month
• 2 weekends per month (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) included in the 10-11 call shifts
• Weekday call hours: 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM; weekend call: 3:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday
• 30-minute response time required for call
• Three-person call team consisting of 1 nurse, 1 tech, and 1 nurse or tech
• No sleep rooms available
• 1-2 holidays of call per contract expected
• May float to IR to assist if trained and comfortable
• Orientation includes NEO and 2-3 eight-hour orientation shifts
• Procedural scrubs provided
• Free parking available

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Level 2E SCN with Magnet designation and Primary Stroke Center status, featuring 255 beds. The facility offers comprehensive cardiac and interventional services supported by a robust team including 24/7 respiratory therapy and hospitalist coverage, with cardiologist support during the day and on-call availability at night. The facility utilizes advanced equipment and technology to support a wide range of complex cardiac and interventional procedures.
