Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac IR unit requiring strong neurovascular and stroke team experience.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology unit with a 50/50 split of inpatient and outpatient patients
  • Patient diagnoses include biopsies, GI, GU/renal, peripheral vascular, pulmonary, CT, endovascular, and stent placement cases
  • Procedures include Y-90 chemo delivery, GI bleeds, TPA administration, vein sampling, phase 2 recovery, and cryoablations
  • Uses Pyxis medication system and Epic for documentation
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Call required for 2 full weekends in a 6-week period and 9 weeknights
  • Floating required to the First Hill Campus for regular shifts and call coverage

Requirements

  • 1+ year of IR experience preferred
  • BLS and ARRT (R) certifications required
  • WA state license required if applicable
  • Strong neurovascular experience and/or experience working with stroke teams required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with vascular closure systems, EKG lead placement, and sterile field maintenance
  • Proficiency with fluoroscopy equipment (Philips, Siemens) and ultrasound

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, accurate patient monitoring, prepping access sites, and acting as room circulator or scrub tech
  • Duties span vascular, genitourinary, and neurological procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placement, and thrombectomy
  • Works in hybrid OR and special procedures settings
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Former Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including location and dates
  • 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
