Interventional Radiology Clinical Specialist position in Barrington, IL. This role involves providing expert clinical support in a busy interventional radiology setting, assisting with invasive and non-invasive procedures, and ensuring optimal patient care within a Level 2 Trauma Center. The candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 0 years of experience; active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); must be able to scrub and record during procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in peripheral interventions.
  • Patient Types: Non-invasive and invasive procedures, including biopsies and peripheral interventions within interventional radiology.
  • Patient Ratios: Typically, three professionals (two nurses and one technician) per procedure room.
  • Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with ACLS and BLS certifications; Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist with BLS, ARRT-R, and ACLS (preferred).
  • Orientation: 1-3 days on the unit.
  • Scheduling: Weekend rotation, with flexibility for up to 7 days off.
  • Other Notes: Scrub color is procedural; parking is free.
  • Start Date: 10/05/2026.
  • End Date: 01/02/2027.
