Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level I Trauma and Stroke Center, supporting Neuro and Body IR procedures with at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology department within a Level I Trauma and Stroke Center
  • Supports outpatient and inpatient procedures for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients of all acuities
  • 2 biplane rooms, 2 single plane rooms, and a dedicated ultrasound room
  • Utilizes Siemens fluoro and Phillips ultrasound equipment
  • McKesson PACS and Cerner Powerchart used for imaging and charting
  • Team includes 5 Body IR physicians, 3 Neurointerventional physicians, and up to 9 IR techs when fully staffed
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Call requirements include 1 weekend per month and 1-2 weekdays per week
  • 2 techs on call each shift, a primary and secondary

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology required
  • ARRT-R certification and BLS required; ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
  • MO or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration, if applicable
  • Proficient supporting Neuro and Body IR procedures using single and biplane radiography units
  • Experience with procedures including Y90, TIPS, chemoembolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stenting, drains, biopsies, LPs, kyphoplasty, line/port placement, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, and PE/DVT treatment
  • Skilled in abdominal, pelvic, vascular, neurological, and genitourinary IR studies and procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and catheter/drain exchange
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

  • Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year, requiring flexibility for rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather coverage
  • Must be able to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
  • Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
  • Floating may be required within the clinical scope per facility policy
  • Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for consideration; those residing 51-74 miles away may be offered the local rate
