Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for Cardiac Interventional Radiology, requiring ARRT (R) certification and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology unit supporting IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties
  • Daily caseload of approximately 15 cases per department
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Weeknight and weekend call required, including 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks (Friday-Monday) and 8 call days within a 4-week period
  • 24-hour on-call coverage required on Saturdays and Sundays with a 2-hour callback minimum
  • May float within the cath lab unit to meet facility needs
  • Uses Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Philips/Boston IVUS/IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave equipment
  • Charting performed in any electronic system

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
  • ARRT (R), ACLS, BLS certifications required
  • State license required if applicable
  • Experience with vascular studies/procedures including angioplasty, endovascular interventions, EVAR, TEVAR, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, cardiac stent placement, and rotablator atherectomy
  • Experience with neurological procedures including carotid angiography, embolization, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
  • Skilled in scrub procedures, equipment set up, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, infection control, and sterile technique
  • Vascular, neuro, and cardiac experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include equipment set up, room circulating, and scrub duties maintaining a sterile field
  • Team supports structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Mitraclip, and Watchman in coordination with the in-house cath lab team
  • Attempts will be made to maintain a consistent block schedule
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Local candidates are not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
  • RTO restrictions of 7 days apply
