Interventional Radiology Technologist

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiology Technologist with previous experience in Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab settings. The ideal candidate will have competency in moderate sedation and possess the required certifications.

Asheville, NC

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 2 single plane (GE) and 2 biplane rooms (Philips)
Number of Staff: 15 technologists, along with a manager and Data/Quality Analyst
Staff Structure:
- Day Shift: 2 technologists and 1 nurse per room
- Night Shift: 1 technologist and 1 nurse onsite
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Type of Equipment: GE single plane, Philips biplane, and an Invasive CT scanner
Electronic Medical Records: Cerner (Radnet)

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with various interventional procedures including but not limited to:
- Dialysis work (Permcaths, fistulagrams)
- Nephrostomy tubes, arteriograms/embolizations
- Y-90, G tubes, TIPS, Inari cases
- Cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipelines, mechanical thrombectomies, vertebroplasties
Supporting staff through scrub and circulate roles during procedures

Qualifications

Required:
- Previous Interventional Radiology experience (scrub and circulate)
- Previous Neurointerventional Radiology experience (scrub and circulate)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
- Vascular OR experience
- Cath Lab experience
- VI Registered

Work Schedule

Every 7th weekend
Secondary night call during the week
