Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience for a day-shift assignment requiring ARRT-R, ACLS, BLS, and a fluoro permit.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit handling cases in CT and X-ray, though floating to these areas is not required
- Scrubbing required for IR, vascular, and pain management procedures
- Uses Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm equipment
- Cerner charting system experience required
- 5x8 day shifts: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 7:00 AM-3:30 PM and Wed 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- Every other holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IR experience required within the last 7 years
- ARRT-R, ACLS, BLS, and fluoro permit required
- MD license required if applicable
- Previous travel assignment experience required
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Proficiency with tunneled catheter placements, embolizations, drain placements, and PEG tube placements
- Experience with pain management procedures including epidural blocks and radiofrequency ablations
- Experience with vascular procedures including angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, and IVC filter placements
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and access site preparation
Additional Information
- Perform interventional, pain management, and vascular procedures including embolizations, angioplasty, stent placements, and thrombectomies
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, accurate monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Experience with CT and ultrasound equipment preferred
- IV start skills preferred
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
- Previous employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
