Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a busy IR lab requiring ARRT (VI) or CCI RCIS certification and at least 1 year of applicable experience.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology unit within a short term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital
  • Scrub position supporting a busy IR lab
  • Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No floating between units
  • On-call required with rotating weekend coverage and one rotating weekly evening
  • Weekend coverage required via on-call rotation
  • Charting completed in Epic
  • No fee for parking

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of applicable IR experience as an ARRT (VI) technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist required
  • ARRT (R) IR Technologist with scrub experience also considered
  • ARRT (VI) or CCI RCIS certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • WA state license required, license required if applicable
  • Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with venous access, central venous access, and vascular closure systems preferred
  • Experience with IR procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and angiography preferred
  • Experience with fluoroscopy and imaging equipment such as GE Innova IGS, Philips, or Siemens preferred

Additional Information

  • Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including vascular, genitourinary, neurological, and cardiac cath lab procedures
  • Responsibilities include equipment set up, prepping access sites, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
  • Assist with life-threatening arrhythmia recognition and use of rapid response/code teams as needed
  • Scrub color for RRT is any color
  • Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted facility
  • Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be granted
  • Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after 3 months, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • First-time travelers considered for this position
