Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician position available in Hendersonville, Tennessee. This role involves performing interventional radiology procedures within a cath lab setting, supporting patient care and procedural requirements in a busy hospital environment. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to utilize advanced imaging equipment and techniques.
Job Details
- Shift: Day shifts, 9 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification with at least 1 year of cath lab experience. Must have a minimum of 1 year cath lab experience.
- Procedures: Left Heart angiograms, Percutaneous coronary interventions, pacemaker implants, ports, drains, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repairs, ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) procedures, among others.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9-hour shifts, with an on-call rotation after hours, and 72 hours post-procedure (ppp).
- Additional Qualifications: Previous experience in electrophysiology (EP) or interventional radiology (IR) preferred. Staff rotate through various roles, including EP or IR work if experienced.
- Location: 355 New Shackle Island Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
- Unit Specifics: Three invasive labs with patient ratios of 1 scrub radiologic technologist (RT), 1 circulating registered nurse (RN), and 1 recording RT or RN per procedure. Equipment includes GE cath lab systems, with documentation managed via Merge system.
- Unit Policies: Candidates are encouraged to review and adhere to unit-specific policies and guidelines.
- Other: Opportunity to work with updated equipment and a dedicated team with substantial tenure and experience.
