Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Clinical Technician position, located within an acute care setting. This role involves assisting in non-operating room procedures in a busy interventional radiology laboratory, supporting patient care, and ensuring smooth operation of the procedure room. The candidate will work four 9-hour shifts per week, including call responsibilities, in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 9-hour shifts, four days per week.
- Required Qualifications: ARRT certification, BLS certification, at least 2 years of clinical experience, active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in vascular and neuro patient care, familiarity with EPIC EMR and Phillips monitors.
- Float: No, float rotation may be required in either the cath lab or interventional radiology lab.
- Additional Information: The technician will scrub, pass supplies, set up, and dismantle procedure rooms for vascular and neuro cases. The unit handles 20-30 cases daily, supporting patients with drains and lines. A 3-5 day department-specific orientation is provided. Call shifts are required, with a 30-minute response time; shifts include weeknights, weekends, and holidays. The department operates with a charge RN from 07:30 to 17:00, who manages cases and coverage during lunch.
