Job Position Summary

UT Health Tyler Hospital is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) to provide direct patient care and moderate sedation monitoring during interventional radiology and other image-guided procedures. The nurse will support procedures in two Interventional Radiology rooms and assist with moderate sedation needs in CT and Ultrasound departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation, including monitoring patient vital signs and end-tidal CO₂.
• Monitor patients for complications and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Assist physicians during vascular and neurological interventional procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at submission).
• Minimum 2 years of interventional procedure experience.
• Minimum 2 years of moderate sedation experience, with the most recent experience within the past 3 months.
• Recent experience in Interventional Radiology is strongly preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
