Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years IR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Advance your nursing career with a specialized opportunity focused on Interventional Radiology. This contract position spans 13 weeks and offers the chance to work alongside a dedicated radiology team, supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that make a real difference in patient care.

Schedule:

• 5 x 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
• Call required approximately every 5 weeks, including an evening during the week (subject to change based on staffing needs)

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license for Rhode Island
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience
• Prior Interventional Radiology RN experience preferred
• Neuro experience not required
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
• Adaptability and confidence in fast-paced environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Monitor and assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, ensuring safety and comfort
• Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, support moderate sedation, and circulate during procedures
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies while on duty or on call
• Educate patients and families on procedure details, care instructions, and follow-up
