Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Interventional Radiology and PICC experience; bedside procedural experience may also qualify.
• Central line insertion and management.
• Procedural circulation and scrubbing.
• IV starts and maintenance.
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Procedural sedation monitoring and emergency medication management.
• Infection prevention and isolation precautions.

Procedures Performed

• Bone marrow biopsies
• Lumbar punctures
• Lumbar punctures with intrathecal chemotherapy
• Non-tunneled line placement
• Paracentesis and thoracentesis
• Ommaya reservoir access for chemotherapy administration into cerebrospinal fluid
