Interventional Radiology RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
• Prior Interventional Radiology, PICC, or bedside procedural experience strongly preferred
• Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at the time of submission
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or other formal leadership reference

Responsibilities

• Assist with interventional radiology and special procedures in both ambulatory and inpatient settings
• Support central line insertion and management, chest tube placement, and IV initiation/maintenance
• Prepare patients for procedures, including procedural sedation monitoring and recovery support
• Circulate and scrub for special procedures as needed
• Monitor patient safety, infection prevention, and isolation precautions
• Assist with emergency medications, dysrhythmia management, and reversal agents when indicated
• Support procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, intrathecal chemotherapy, and non-tunneled line placement
• Deliver compassionate care to oncology patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams
