Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring IR procedural and neuro-interventional experience along with a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology unit of a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Unit includes 5 procedure labs staffed with 1 RN plus 1-2 techs per case depending on complexity
• Patient ratio of 1:4 in holding, depending on acuity
• Uses GE Imaging equipment
• Documentation via Meditech Expanse
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirement of 7 shifts per month with less than 30-minute arrival time when called in

Requirements

• Active RN license (FL or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• IR procedural experience and knowledge of IR protocols required
• Neuro-interventional experience required
• Strong communication skills required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform full scope of interventional radiology procedures including structural cases (TAVR, Mitra Clip), carotid stenting, peripheral arterial cases, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, drains, ports, DSA, and neuro procedures
• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and recognized as a top HCA stroke center
• Daily huddle calls with emphasis on building relationships with the Director, staff, and patients
• Unit known for strong teamwork and departmental recognition
• Scrub color is surgical scrubs provided by the unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
