Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring neuro and peripheral intervention experience and weekly call coverage.

Details

  • Inpatient/outpatient IR department featuring 4 angiography suites (two single-plane, two biplane), 1 dedicated CT scanner, and 1 multipurpose fluoroscopy suite for pain management
  • Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday with 1 rotating day off
  • Possible weekend coverage required
  • On-call requirement of one primary call shift per week and one primary call weekend per month, with 30-minute call back time
  • Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract in rotation with staff
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active Virginia State or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Experience in neuro and peripheral interventions required
  • Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care within a comprehensive IR department offering minimally invasive procedures for vascular, neuro, and oncologic conditions
  • Work in a Level I Trauma Center for adult and pediatric patients at a large, not-for-profit academic teaching hospital
  • Facility focuses on precision, reduced recovery times, and alternatives to traditional surgery
  • Local candidates are not accepted; candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility (per driver's license address) are considered local
  • Previous employees (per diem or permanent) must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
  • Facility does not allow travelers to return after working 365 days on assignment, regardless of separation period, with case-by-case exceptions reviewed by leadership
  • All RTO requests must be submitted upfront with the application
