Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner in Columbia, Missouri. This position involves comprehensive patient assessments from head-to-toe, recognizing complications, and implementing safety measures such as radiation safety protocols when applicable. The role includes explaining procedures to patients and their families, addressing concerns, and coordinating with radiologists and other team members to ensure optimal patient care. The candidate must be capable of making critical decisions, responding effectively to urgent situations, and adjusting swiftly to dynamic environments while managing multiple responsibilities across departments.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with a rotating schedule including weekend and weeknight call rotations.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, appropriate certifications (such as BLS), relevant education, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional skills in line management, such as PICC/Central Line insertion and management, Vascular Device Care, and experience with CVP monitoring and sheaths.
• Responsibilities: Performing general patient assessments, managing invasive and non-invasive procedures including sedation, line placements, and patient monitoring; utilizing equipment such as IV Pumps, ISTAT, and vital sign monitors; providing procedural support for radiologic interventions and MRI procedures; and managing patient care with a focus on safety and efficacy.
• Additional Information: The position allows for downstaffing by the healthcare organization with a 36/48-hour notice during the 13-week contract.
