Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 253
• Staff in Interventional Radiology: 6
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 variable
• Type of Equipment: GE Bi-plane
• EMR: Meditech, PACs McKesson

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out physician orders and administer medications.
• Conduct initial assessments and develop plans of care.
• Check lab results and review patient medical histories.
• Insert and remove intravenous lines.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.
• Assist as a circulator/scrub in to aid with IR tech during procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must Have:
  • Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • NIHSS Stroke Education Certification and at least 1 year of experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Critical Care / ICU / ER experience.
• Preferred:
  • Previous IR experience in a hospital setting.
  • Experience with Meditech.
