Shift Details:- Days, 40 hours / week ( 4x5)
Interventional Radiographer Duties & Responsibilities:- Perform varied duties while maintaining efficiency and composure.
- Nursing/Circulator: Administer medications, maintain sterile technique, assist with procedures, advocate for patients, and respond to emergencies and complications.
- Collaborate with physicians and Rad Techs to identify and manage contrast allergies and ensure precautions are addressed during timeout.
- Moderate Sedation: Verify ASA classification, provide sedation per protocol, continuously monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, oxygenation, ventilation, and level of consciousness, and manage complications.
- Scrub Role: Prepare sterile instruments, catheters, guidewires, sheaths, and other supplies; assist physicians and anticipate procedural needs.
- Monitor Role: Record hemodynamic data and procedural events; operate monitoring systems and accurately document medications, supplies, implants, contrast, and device deployment.
- Peri-Procedure Support: Prepare and position patients, connect monitoring equipment, verify allergies, NPO status, renal function, patient/procedure identification, and timeout requirements; perform sheath pulls and vascular access management as needed.
- Department Support: Maintain supplies and inventory, restock rooms, check expirations, assist with room turnover, and ensure equipment is cleaned, charged, and properly stored.
Minimum Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current Oregon State licensure issued by OBMI, ARRT certification, RT(R).; current BLS, ACLS certification (or within 6 months of hire)
- Certifications specific to areas of clinical specialty preferred (e.g., RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale).
- At least one years experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab managing fluoroscopy and scrubbing interventional cases.
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ) .
