Description:
An Interventional Radiology Rad Tech is needed with experience in Neurosurgery or Neuroscience.
The position requires 4x10 hour shifts during the day, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duty as needed by the unit.
The ideal candidate should possess interventional radiology experience.
Candidates with experience from other modalities will receive up to six months of training in neuro IR.
Primary duties include demonstrating competence in selecting exposure factors and producing diagnostic quality radiologic images.
The role involves collaborating with department members to quickly resolve problems.
Flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability are essential when interacting with patients.
The Rad Tech must be aware of and sensitive to patient rights during all patient interactions.
Duties also involve administering oral contrast as needed and preparing patients for examinations while assisting the Radiologist during procedures.
Competence in operating all x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems is required.
Reporting equipment malfunctions to management is essential.
Timely completion of all assigned procedures is expected, along with using time effectively between procedures to assist others with clerical duties and tasks.
Maintaining medication security for authorized personnel only is a crucial responsibility.
Candidates should demonstrate competency in providing healthcare services to all age groups and in fostering positive interpersonal relationships with patients.
Computer proficiency in Client Information Systems, Radiology Information Systems, and PACS is required.
Participation in hospital performance improvement activities and maintaining confidentiality using personal passwords for patient care modules is expected.
The role also includes answering technical inquiries from physicians or hospital personnel while maintaining phone etiquette.
