Unless the unit is closed, contractors are required to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). Call schedule includes evenings and weekends, approximately every third evening and weekend. The call team covers both facilities, with most emergencies occurring at the primary facility. Duties include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring procedures. Level I trauma experience is preferred. First-time travelers are welcomed. Professional references are preferred to be recent evaluations from supervisors or nurse managers. Candidates are required to provide documentation for their driver's license. Active American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification is preferred. Iowa Radiology license documentation is highly preferred; issuance timeline varies if non-active. ARRT documentation is required.
