Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5x8 (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Strong experience with Interventional Radiology scrub/circulation; strong in Cath Lab scrub preferred. License: State license required. Certifications: ARRT(R), BLS, ACLS required; RCIS will be considered. Must-Have: - Proficiency in Interventional Radiology procedures. - Experience in fast-paced environments with moderate to high volume. - Ability to perform on-call shifts approximately 8-10 times per month, including nights and weekends. Description: The Interventional Radiology Technologist will work in a small IR suite. The unit operates with a fast-paced workflow with moderate to high case volumes. All cases are scheduled Monday through Friday; staff are available for on-call urgent/emergency cases. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Common patient diagnoses include abdominal ascites, pleural effusions, and malfunctioning thrombosed hemodialysis access. The role includes performing procedures such as biopsies, placements of PICC lines and tunneled catheters, and other interventional techniques. Equipment used includes Phillips Azurion C-Arm, angioplasty balloons, stents, and endoflators. Floating within the specialty and assisting in the Cath Lab suite may be required as needed. Candidates should be prepared to work on holidays and provide weekend on-call coverage every third weekend as required for urgent/emergent cases. Strong experience with accessing and managing ports, performing EKGs, and maintaining sterile fields is necessary. Travelers must have a commitment to quality patient care and a strong work ethic.
