IR/Angio Special Procedures Experience: Stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephogram, kyphoplasty, peripherals, drainages, abd & pelvis, upper/lower extremities, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access and LP myelogram skills REQUIRED.

Special Procedures/Unit Details : Interventional radiology department that provides pre/intra/post procedure care for inpatient, ED and outpatient populations. See below for types of procedures performed. Staffing includes radiologists, midlevel providers, RN's, CNA's and technologists. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri from 0630-1800 and Sat from 0830-1700. All other hours are covered on call. Work shift hours are typically 8 hrs per day and shift start/stop times vary. Responsibilities include rotating holidays and on call.

VA or Compact license required at submission for nursing positions. Allied licensing varies by specialty (include license details in profile).
Radiology positions at all MIF locations require a VA license in hand. Temporary licenses accepted at Stafford Hospital and Mary Washington Hospital.
Submit all required certifications and current Nursys report.
RTO 7 days requires extension of assignment by equivalent time. Include all RTO in profile. For OR/CST: Maximum 1 holiday request.
No local radius restriction. Locals accepted at same rate.
Epic preferred.
Travelers may float within facility or nearby affiliated facilities based on census/volume.
For ICU travelers
- They may float to non-ICU units and assume standard patient ratios:
2N/2S/3N: 1:4 1:5
SH 2W: 1:5
3 South Overflow: 1:5 1:6

Travel pairs may not both get offers, if both are offered same schedules not guaranteed.
