Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required in Interventional Radiology License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (VI) or CCI RCIS Must-Have: Must have applicable Interventional Radiology experience as an ARRT (VI) technologist or a Cardiovascular Technologist. An ARRT (R) Interventional Radiology Technologist with scrub experience is also appropriate. Description: This position is a reduced Non-Billable Orientation job. The technologist will not float between units. On-call is required with rotating weekend coverage and one weekly evening shift. Weekend shifts are mandatory as part of the on-call requirement. Block schedules are not required. Candidates will work with a variety of procedures. Expected patient ratios will be determined by unit needs. Experience in the following skills is essential: 3D imaging, accessing/managing ports, accurate monitoring. Understanding of adrenal angiography, angioplasty, and aortography. Proficiency in catheter/drain exchange, central venous access, and management of central venous lines. Ability to perform chemoembolization, chest tube placement, and gastrointestinal procedures. Expertise in performing liver biopsies, paracentesis, and thoracentesis. Scrub and maintain sterile field during procedures. Ability to use various imaging technologies such as MRI and ultrasound. Experience with equipment setup and maintenance is crucial. Must demonstrate the ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias. Demonstrated lead tech experience is preferred. Ability to comply with isolation precautions and PPE. Willingness to float to nearby facilities if necessary. Candidates must commit to working during specified holidays as required.
