Seven Healthcare are seeking an Echocardiogram Technician specializing in interventional radiology for a travel assignment in Shreveport, LA. This crucial role involves working in a dynamic clinical environment, performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to support cardiovascular evaluations and treatments.

Key Responsibilities of the Echocardiogram Technician- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echocardiograms, and other cardiac ultrasound procedures as per physician orders.
- Apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Ensure proper documentation and labeling of studies in accordance with departmental and accreditation standards.
- Work independently on assignments of limited to moderate complexity with general guidance.
- Exercise independent judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate imaging approaches.
- Elevate complex or unusual cases to senior technicians or management for review.
- Adhere to established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IAC, ASE).
- Participate in routine equipment maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Interface primarily with internal clinical staff and patients in a customer service-oriented manner.
- Communicate effectively with referring providers to clarify orders and ensure appropriate study selection.
- May assist with patient education regarding procedures and preparation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Echocardiogram Technician- Graduate of an accredited echocardiogram, cardiovascular sonography, or equivalent program required.
- 2 years of experience required; OR/intraoperative TEE experience required.
- One of the following registrations is required: Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI, or Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT.
- BLS required.
