Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Echo Technician for a travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM. This dynamic role focuses on performing diagnostic echocardiograms on both adult and pediatric patients within a high-volume hospital setting. Key Responsibilities of the Echo Technician- Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams.
- Coordinate activities with interrelated hospital departments, including scheduling exams and transporting patients.
- Assist cardiologist with dictating exams and preparing M-modes.
- Deliver, pick up, and distribute dictations in a timely manner.
- Respond to patients' needs and report changes in condition to the physician or nurse in charge.
- Maintain cleanliness and supply levels of rooms and order Echo supplies.
- Log patient information and exams, participate in quality control and performance improvement activities.
- Coordinate necessary repair services for equipment and keep updated on advances in Echocardiography.
- Share responsibility for emergency echo exams outside regular hours.
- Assist with other cardiac procedures as needed.
Requirements of the Echo Technician- A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required.
- State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License.
- BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
- Two-year allied health education program related to patient care preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience performing echocardiograms preferred.
